SOTHEBY'S GALLERIES
NEW YORK, NY

Sotheby's needed to double its gallery space- in less than 3 months. By renovating and reconfiguring space over seven floors of their existing building on York Avenue in New York City, FMA assisted Gluckman Tang Architects in overseeing the design and fast-track construction of new exhibition spaces. Installing industrial lighting and exposing concrete floors represented a cost-effective and time sensitive approach to achieving a 'downtown' gallery aesthetic, more suitable to the auction houses expanding focus on contemporary art.
