The combination of two quintessential pre-war apartments in Manhattan with views of Central Park created ample room for this client’s extensive art collection. A free-flowing plan is animated by a series of sliding wall panels designed to control degrees of openness throughout the apartment. The use of subtly colored translucent material for the panels allow spaces to illuminate as objects, reinforcing the openness of the plan, while a restrained and natural palette of finishes provide an ideal environment for displaying art.
