SAMUEL WEED HOUSE
Historic homes, long abandoned by families and appropriated by businesses during the 1970's, are finding new life again as residences in Norwalk, Connecticut. In this small New England city, surrounded by affluent coastal communities with a scarcity of quality apartments, Fiedler Marciano Architecture is working with a local developer intent on respecting the character of these homes and neighborhoods. One such project is the historic Samuel L. Weed House, located across from Norwalk's town green. This centered gable home now contains five modern apartments, four 1-bedroom units and a dramatic open loft.
